A study found that those with prediabetes who consumed turmeric lowered their odds their chances of developing diabetes. However, much of that research was conducted on animals instead of people.

Personally, I see most people use turmeric when they’ve contracted some sort of virus like the common cold. If you’re feeling under the weather, try some turmeric tea. Just keep in mind that turmeric isn’t known for it’s delicious flavor; however, I know several people who can confirm that turmeric makes a big difference.
