With the rise of YouTube, viewers have gained access to tons of free learning-based content. If I don’t know how to do something, I usually turn to YouTube and someone else has the answers for me. Personally, I think it’s great. Anyone can learn anything for free. It’s important to mind who you take advice from, but there are plenty of credible professionals offering up their services. The health and wellness community on YouTube is one of the largest on the platform. I love that side of YouTube for several reasons: 1) they emphasize that you don’t need a gym membership to stay active 2) there are great affordable healthy eating channels 3) they include mental health tips. After spending a few days scouring YouTube, I have found a couple of the best YouTube channels for free health tips!
One of my favorite health YouTubers is Madeleine Shaw. Madeleine posts a wide array of videos ranging from yoga to general lifestyle. I love her laid back attitude. I feel relaxed just by clicking on one of her videos. She is primarily known for her yoga videos, but I think her healthy eating ones are great too. If you’re looking for a wholesome lifestyle channel, Madeleine’s is the one for you.
If you’re looking for a channel that’s a little more upbeat, then Michelle Khare might be your cup of tea. In all honesty, Michelle is more experimental with her lifestyle. She posts videos like “I Trained Like An Olympic Figure Skater” and “We Tried 1930s Workouts.” While her videos may not seem like they’re for the average person, Michelle finds things that can work for almost anybody. A lot of her content does focus on fitness, but she also speaks about body positivity. Not to mention, Michelle is incredibly entertaining.
